Elkhart County Crash Injures Two
A Cromwell teenager and Syracuse adult were injured in a one-vehicle accident Wednesday evening north of Syracuse.
Macey Taylor, 17, Cromwell, suffered abrasions to the chest and complained of back pain. A passenger in her vehicle, Michael Cavender, 48, Syracuse, suffered a laceration to the back of the head. Both were taken to IU Goshen Health.
The accident occurred at 5:30 p.m. on CR 43 at CR 48.
Taylor was driving a 2005 Kia Spectra when it veered off the west side of the road, flipped and landed in a ditch.
Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department is reporting no enforcement action is being taken at this time and the investigation is ongoing, pending toxicology results.
