Plea hearings for Amber Lenn Hobbs, Bradley Trostle and Ryan Dunithan were held Monday morning. While agreements for Trostle and Dunithan were taken under advisement, Hobbs waived her rights and asked for immediate action on the agreement.

During Hobbs plea hearing, a second charge, maintaining a common nuisance, class D felony, was added to her original charge of dealing in a schedule 1 controlled substance. She waived her rights and requested a ruling.

Reed accepted the plea agreement, in which Hobbs plead guilty to maintaining a common nuisance, with a separate dealing charge dismissed. Per her plea agreement, she was given a one-year suspended sentence to be served on probation. She was ordered to undergo a substance abuse evaluation and participate in any treatment ordered.

Hobbs, 24, 5831 S. East Channel Road, Warsaw, was among five arrested in early March 2014 on drug related crimes following an investigation by undercover officers. (See: Five Arrested On Drug Charges)

Plea Agreements Under Advisement

Plea agreements for Bradley A. Trostle, 29, 497 Clinic Court, Warsaw and Ryan E. Dunithan, 26, 1026 N. Harrison Street, Syracuse, were taken under advisement by Reed.

Trostle has been charged with dealing a schedule 1 controlled substance, a class B felony. Per his plea agreement, if accepted, his sentence would not exceed six years with restitution to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department for purchase of drugs and the  investigation. A class B felony carries a range of six to 20 years. Action on his plea agreement and sentencing will take place at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 17. (See: Trostle Arrested On Drug Charges)

Dunithan entered a guilty plea to both charges of possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a common nuisance according to his plea agreement. The agreement calls for his sentencing not to exceed one and a half years each to be served concurrent, testifying against all other defendants and transfer of all firearms to Warsaw Police Department. The agreement also calls for the level 6 felony to be reduced to a class A misdemeanor. Action on this plea agreement and sentencing will take place at 9 a.m. June 8.
