County Switches Credit Card Companies
Kosciusko County Commissioners have decided to change the bank is uses that issues credit cards, The decision was made during a 15-minute meeting this morning.
Lake City Bank was chosen as the new financial institution to obtain credit cards for certain county employees, including sheriff’s deputies, who often travel considerable distances and need the credit cards for expenses such as gas.
The county changed banks due to issues with a major credit card company. The previous credit cards were not accepted at many locations, such as gas stations.
Also, it was announced that an employee tail-gate party will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 14, on the lawn of the courthouse in downtown Warsaw. The annual event is for county employees only and serves as an appreciation event for the workers.
A request by Arrowhead Country Resource Conservation and Development for $450 was accepted. The non-profit organization was one of several requests by other non profits who requested funding this past summer from the county. Arrowhead RC&D, who requested $500, does conservation work along the Tippecanoe River.
Commissioners are president Bob Conley, Brad Jackson and Ron Truex. The next meeting will be at 9 a.m. Sept. 11, at the county courthouse in Warsaw.
