An Eye For A Rib: Muncie Woman Stabbed In The Eye Over Last Rib
Memorial Day was a little more eventful for one family in Muncie. According to The Star Press in Muncie, a dispute over the last remaining rib at a barbecue between two women resulted in one woman being stabbed in the eye with a fork.
On Sunday evening, Sabrina Davis, 45, was arrested by officials on charges of criminal recklessness.
According to an affidavit acquired by The Star Press, Davis, who was a guest at another family’s cookout, was confronted by the homeowner’s daughter who felt she was “taking all of the food.” Davis stated the woman tried to move the pan away from her as she went after the rib and allegedly stabbed her in the eye with a meat fork.
The victim sustained two lacerations to her left eyelid, which was reportedly swollen. A witness stated Davis stabbed the victim who then went after Davis with a knife. Davis however maintained that she was acting in self-defense after the victim brandished a knife at her.
Davis has reportedly been convicted of both conversion and theft. She was held on a $5,000 bond.
