First Friday Celebrating The Lakes In June
For June’s First Friday event, organizers are celebrating one of Kosciusko County’s most beloved natural resource: the lakes.
The theme for First Friday in June is “Lovin’ The Lake.” Organizers have partnered with the Center For Lakes and Streams to celebrate all the bodies of water in the county.
CLS will distribute information. There will be art projects and building of sand castles. A community canvas will be constructed.
At center stage Deb Colliers School of Dance will perform from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Short Term Memories will perform from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Also, the Warsaw Community High School Hip Hop Group will perform at 7:30 p.m. Over on the second stage, Russ Weed returns singing the hits of Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett.
The Big Bike Night Cycle Show will be held on Center Street. Big Brothers Big Sisters will be celebrating National Doughnut Day. And the American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
First Friday festivities are held in downtown Warsaw from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, June 5.
