Johnny Swafford, 59, Wabash, passed away at 3:33 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2015.

He was born on March 20, 1956, in Bluffton to the late Ernest Swafford and Nancy (Moser) Swafford, she survives in Disko, Indiana.

Johnny was a self-employed sub-contractor, John’s Contracting in Wabash. He married Christina Owen on May 12, 1994, she survives. He attended Wabash Friends Church in Wabash, Indiana.

Johnny is also survived by a daughter: Sabrina (Bill) Mixon, Kokomo; five sons: Josh Simons (Tiffany), Mexico, Chris Burnham (Ember), Marion, Jamie Burnham, Wabash, Todd Burnham, Wabash, and David Burnham (Mallory Tiffany), Elwood; brother: Ernie Swafford; three sisters: Jennifer (Bill) Halverson, Disko, Sue Black, Wabash, and Nancy (Jim) Taylor, Wabash; seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 22 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash, IN 46992, with Pastor David Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Friends Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana. Visitation for family and friends will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
