Howard L. Moser
Howard L. Moser, 76, Syracuse and Ocala, Fla. died at 11:15 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015, at IU Health, Goshen, Hospital, after a brief battle with lung cancer.
He was born May 30, 1939, in Ligonier, to George and Pauline Moser. On June 11, 1967, he married Sharon Byrd Lawson, who survives. Also surviving are two sons: Kirby (Anne) Lawson, Warsaw; and Howard Lee (Annette) Moser, Fort Wayne; one daughter: Karen Sue Moser, Syracuse; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five brothers: George B. (Sharon) Moser, Elkhart; Gregg (Diane) Moser, Stockton, Calif.; Richard Moser, Ligonier; Kent (Janet) Moser, Ligonier; Brent (Cindy) Moser, Pewamo, Mich; seven sisters: Marlene (Gerald) Kimmell, Winona Lake; Carolyn (Jimmy) Ridenour, Middleburry; Phillis (Vernon) Paler, Kauai, Hawaii; Thelma (Wayne) BRyant, Lafayette; Gwendolyn Dallman, Ligonier; Dorothy (john) Feltner, Hazard, Ky.; Denice (Jim) Apple, Syracuse. He is also survived by numerous nieces; nephews; cousins; and a host of longtime friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Carl; and one sister: Diana.
He served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked in the trucking industry, as a driver and then in management with Kidd and Co and Quality Drive-Away.
No visitation is planned. After cremation a family graveside service will be held at Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier, with a military honor guard.
