Steven’s Puppets Present Sleeping Beauty
Come and join us at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, in the Milford Community Building for a marionette show. Steven’s Puppets will be presenting “Sleeping Beauty” with hand carved, beautifully costumed marionettes as they enact the play with the help of skilled puppeteers. This program is for the whole family. We will be drawing for door prizes at the end of the program. See you there for a great puppet show.
Teen Event
Teens are invited to join us for another afternoon of superhero fun. At 2 p.m. Thursday, July 9, come to the library meeting room for a superhero game day and costume contest. We will play superhero games like, matching the superhero with his or her love interest or a super villain word find. Come dressed as your favorite superhero or villain. We will judge your costumes and prizes will be awarded. After our activity, everyone is welcome to share a snack. See you n the library meeting room.
Family Summer Story Time
Gather at the library on Friday, July 10, for the fifth week of Family Summer Story Time! We have two sessions, one at 10 a.m. and one at 11 a.m. Carol Haab will share stories about heroes in storybooks. Staff will read a hero storybook collection. After Carol reads, the children will make a craft and enjoy a nice snack. Each family participating in story time will receive a book to add to their home library. There are four Family Summer Story Times left, so if you have not already registered, do it today. Call us at (574) 658-4312 to register or ask any questions.
LEGO Crew
LEGO Crew is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. until noon Saturday, July 11. On the second Saturday of each month, we get together and let our imaginations run wild. LEGO Crew meets in the library’s meeting room. We will provide the LEGO’s, you provide your creativity and imagination. Call us if you have any questions.
National Grilling Month
It is now officially grilling season and the library has a big collection of grilling cookbooks to help you decide what to cook. Check out “Taste of Home’s Grilling Recipe Collection” by Taste of Home, “Bobby Flay’s Boy Meets Grill: With more than 125 Bold New Recipes” by Bobby Flay, “The Joy of Healthy Grilling” by Joseph Famularo, “Beer-Can Chicken: and 74 other offbeat recipes for the Grill” by Steven Raichlen, and “Food Men Love” by Margie Lapanja.
