Webster Man In New Paris Accident
Austin R. Hoover, 32, North Webster, was taken to IU Health Goshen, following a two-vehicle accident at SR 15 and CR 142, on the north edge of New Paris. The accident was at 1:34 p.m. Monday.
Hoover complained of right pelvic pain and left foot pain. Julie A. Ross, 34, Goshen, driver of the second vehicle, was also taken to IU Health Goshen. She complained of neck and leg pain. The three passengers in her vehicle were not injured.
Hoover was cited for driving while suspended and no proof of financial responsibility.
Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department reports Hoover was southbound on SR 15 in a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee, approaching CR 142, when he swerved to the right to avoid colliding with a vehicle that had pulled out west from CR 142 and heading south on SR 15. Hoover’s front bumper struck the driver’s side bumper and driver’s door of Ross’ 2014 GMC Acadia. Hoover was stopped on CR 142 with her vehicle facing east.
