Area Players Set For All-Star Football Game
INDIANAPOLIS – The area high school football scene, including the Northern Lakes Conference, will be well represented for the annual Indiana Football Coaches Association All-Star game.
The contest, pitting the North All-Stars versus the South All-Stars, is set for tonight at 7 p.m. at North Central High School in Indianapolis.
Selected to play for the North team from the NLC are Cam Ridenhour and Michael Fickert of Northridge, along with Jerrell Pointdexter of Concord and Jacob Drudge of Plymouth.
Northridge head coach Tom Woodman, the former coach at Wawasee, is one of the assistant coaches for the North squad.
Also on the North roster are Isaac Barrios of Elkhart Central, Tyler Weller of New Prairie, Izayah Newsom of Mishawaka Marian, Jacob Schmartz of Mishawaka, Christian Campbell of South Bend Washington, Preston Hansel of Culver and Inoke Moala and Kyle Treber of Penn.
New Prairie assistant coach Bill Gumm is also one of the coaches for the North team.
