Motorcyclist Injured, Cited After Crash
WARSAW — A motorcyclist was cited following an accident at the intersection of Center Street and Tamarack Street.
According to police reports, Dennis Kostro, 70, Warsaw, was driving a 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Center Street toward Tamarack when he saw a red passenger vehicle stopped at the intersection.
The vehicle proceeded into the intersection and Kostro reportedly laid the bike down in the street to avoid a collision. The red passenger vehicle was reportedly not at the scene when first responders arrived.
A witness who had been behind Kostro at the time of the crash spoke with police and gave an account matching Kostro’s.
Kostro was transported to Lutheran Hospital with non life-threatening injuries, including bruises and contusions over his entire body.
Warsaw Police cited Kostro for operating a motorcycle without a license, an infraction.
