Thomas Wayne Schoettmer
Thomas Wayne Schoettmer, 51, of Anderson and formerly of Silver Lake passed away at 3 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2015, in his residence.
On July 9, 1964, he was born in Madison County, to John and Patricia (Liptow) Schoettmer Sr. He was united in marriage to Vickie Eldridge on Dec. 7, 1999, in Warsaw, who survives.
Thomas lived in Silver Lake before moving to Anderson fourteen years ago. He had graduated from Tippecanoe Valley High School in 1983 and then worked for several businesses in the Warsaw area before becoming disabled. Thomas loved his family especially his children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces. He was an avid fisherman and he loved to hunt. He also loved to watch birds. Thomas was of the Christian faith and loved to talk about the bible.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years: Vickie Schoettmer, Anderson; four children: Codie Pierce Schoettmer, Claypool; Anthony; Alicia; and Adam, Anderson; two grandchildren: Nathaniel; and Brooklyn Gross, Anderson; three brothers: Tim (Ruby) Schoettmer, Waraw; Terry (Susan) Schoettmer, Claypool; and Todd Schoettmer, Akron; his best friend: Nathaniel Burton, Anderson; and several nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and a sister.
A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 23, in Graceland Cemetery, Claypool, with Chaplain Bob Jarboe of Kosciusko Homecare and Hospice officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. before the service at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel.
