Betty Rose Coughlin
Betty Rose Coughlin, 90, of Albion, passed away at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at North Ridge Village Nursing home in Albion. She was born on Aug. 10, 1924, in Etna, to Cletus C. and Thelma E. (Wheeler) Stump.
She lived most of her life in Whitley, Noble, and Kosciusko Counties, attended Washington Center School in Cromwell and Wolf Lake High School. She was married in 1941 to Marvin Earl Kuhn who preceded her in death and in 1970, she married James Coughlin who preceded her in July 1985. She retired in 1984 from Superior Sample in Ligonier after 11 years of service and formerly worked at Plax (Monsanto) in Ligonier.
She formerly Attended Trinity Assembly of God in Ligonier.
She is survived by two daughters: Marvena Kay (David) Blanchard, Maumee, Ohio; and Angela Fay Deck, Garrett; two sons: Eddie L. (Sandra) Kuhn, North Webster; and Danny D. (Dorene) Kuhn, Cromwell; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; son: Larry S. “Buck” Kuhn; and two brothers: John and Bill Stump.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, August 2, at Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, August 3, at the funeral home with Mike McDonald of the Church of Christ in Millersburg. officiating. Burial will follow in Thorn Cemetery near Kimmell.
Memorial bequests may be given to Parkview Home Health and Hospice, Kendallville.
