Vote No On Bill Allowing Opposite-Sex Use Of Gender-Specific Facilities
Dear Editor,
[This is an] open letter to the members of the Goshen City Council,
My family and I live near Leesburg and frequently shop and eat in your city. I am vehemently opposed to the changes that are being proposed to your city ordinances which would allow men who “identify” as women to enter facilities which are expressly set aside for the opposite sex.
Not only does this open up a huge liability issue for the town and the businesses in town should any assault or sexual harassment take place (as it already has at Evergreen State College in Washington and in other places that have gone down this road), but it is also a big disincentive for people to visit and shop in your city.
If the proposed ordinance passes, I promise you that we will not be shopping or doing business in your city any longer. We will find other places that support families and that will not put my wife and children in danger.
I urge you to vote no on adding this anti-family, anti-business proposal to your city ordinances.
Sincerely,
Mark Fishburn
