WARSAW — The people from MudLOVE are putting on their annual Block of LOVE fundraising event from 4-10 p.m. Sept. 12, in the Village in Winona in the area surrounding the original MudLOVE shop on Park Avenue. There is a $5 suggested donation for entry to the event.
Live music from U.S. Royalty, James and the Drifters and Beyond Normal Sea will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Block of LOVE is an annual event that celebrates the community’s support of our business and raises money for Water for Good’s clean water initiatives in the Central African Republic. It features local and award winning music artists, local food trucks, activities and an interactive social good marketplace. Last year, the event attracted close to 1,500 people from Winona Lake and the surrounding communities.
The goal of the event is to celebrate our community while at the same time raising money and awareness for the international water crisis. Our fundraising goal is $5,000. This can be done by text-to-give, cash donations, peer-to-peer fundraising and direct donations to Water for Good.
Food from local vendors like Who Cut the Cheese, Cerulean, Antigology, Viand and more will be available. Corn hole, ping-pong, and a kids zone will also be available, and there will be a marketplace with shops from Belove, Destiny Rescue, Design Outreach, Water for Good, Three Strands, Creative Women of the World and other local artists.
