Dianna J. Heisler
Dianna J. Heisler, 73, of Mentone, passed at 8:04 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, at her residence after a year long battle with cancer.
She was born in Atwood on Aug. 29, 1941, to Harold and Ethel (Engle) Truex. On July 1, 1960, she married Larry Heisler, who survives. They were married in Atwood.
She worked for Cox Studio for 44 years and later she worked at Hatfield Elementary in Mitchell, as a school cook. She was a 1959 graduate of Atwood High School, and was a member of the Church of Christ. She had been an active member of the Atwood Home Economics Club. She was a family-minded mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was known for her time spent as a Den Mother for Cub Scouts as well as many other activities that her son was involved in. She enjoyed gardening and traveling with her husband to see family and also to Jonesboro, Tenn.
Survivors include husband: Larry Heisler, Mentone; son: Randy (Tammy) Heisler, Bloomington; grandchildren: Lindsey; Kiley; and Cameron Heisler; great-grandchildren: Landon and Laryn Kinser; sisters: Betty (Don) Hedington, Warsaw; Peggy (Bob) Wanamacher, Bourbon; Doris Truex, Overland Park, Ks.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Harold and Ethel (Engle) Truex.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at King Memorial Home, Mentone. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
