Air Show Begins Today
WARSAW — The skies will be busy over Warsaw this weekend as the annual air show flies into the Warsaw Municipal Airport Friday, Aug. 14, through Sunday, Aug. 16.
The show takes off from 1-10 p.m. Friday, with plane rides, a car show, car-airplane races, a model aircraft show, the Canadian Harvards Aerobatic Team, a balloon glow, “Hot Blade” jet dragster, night aerobatics and fireworks.
Balloon, helicopter and aircraft rides will propel Saturday’s activities forward. Visitors of all ages will also have the chance to watch a variety of different planes, including a number of World War II aircraft, as pilots perform stunts and flyovers.
Sunday will feature rides as available and Stearman, Pitts and Staudacher Aerobatic flybys by local aircraft. Sunday will also be the backup date, should Saturday’s activities be postponed due to weather.
