NAPPANEE – A pair of hard-hitting teams won the Thursday night and Friday night softball leagues in Nappanee.

The Bible Baptist Church of Wakarusa won its final two games or the season Friday night to claim the Friday night league title. Winnings 11-7 in the first game and 18-8 in the second game, BBC defeated First Church of God of Nappanee for the team trophy, ending its fine season 16-4 overall.

Predators Softball, sponsored by Sylvia Benjamin’s State Farm Insurance, was crowned league Thursday night league champions for 2015, by beating Wakarusa Electronics, 7-6, in a one-game take-all thriller. The Predators finished an impressive 18-2 on the season.
