Alfred Crook
Alfred M. Crook, 75, of Cromwell, passed away at 10:46 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, as the result of an automobile accident near Ligonier. He was born on Jan. 27, 1940, in Nashville, Tenn. to Henry Alfred and Mary Emeline (Kenneth) Crook.
He grew in in Tennessee and attended public school there. He was married on June 20, 1976, in Attleboro, Mass. to Mary E. Coplin who survives. He was a former self employed painter and construction worker and moved to the Cromwell area five years ago from Nashville.
He is survived by his wife: Mary Coplin, Cromwell; three daughters: Elsie (Jim) McGinn, Pawtucket, R.I.; Laura DeCosta, Syracuse; and Amandalee (Johnny) McCollum, Syracuse; two sons: Brian Boliquin, Warsaw; and Henry (Alexis) Coplin, Cromwell; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister: Laura Margaret Reposa, East Providence, R.I. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter: Mary Ann Elizabeth Anderson; two brothers: Nelson and Ronnie Crook; and stepfather: Thomas Miller.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Harlan Steffen of Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating. Burial will be in the Syracuse Cemetery.
Memorial bequest may be given to the Alfred Funeral Fund, care of the Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse.
