Baby Giraffe At The Zoo
FORT WAYNE — Kiango, the six-week-old giraffe spent time in the giraffe pasture for the first time in August at the Fort Wayne Children’s zoo. Kiango is now a part of the African Journey exhibit on display this summer at the zoo. Kiango is a male reticulated giraffe, and was born at 160 pounds. Kiango, a name based in the Swahili language means “sunshine.”
Kiango was born June 14, but was already walking an hour after he was born, but can now be seen in the exhibit.
