UPDATE: Accident At Detroit And Main
UPDATE: No injuries have been reported in a rollover accident that happened Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Detroit Street and Main Street, Warsaw.
The call went out at 5:26 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27. Officers arrived to find a 2007 Chevrolet, driven by Gilbert Martinez, 42, Warsaw, upside down in the intersection, with vehicles driven by Debra A. Halwey, 57, Warsaw and Becka R. Lukens, 23, also of Warsaw, nearby.
According to police reports, Martinez, westbound on Main Street, had been waiting at a red light. When the light changed, he proceeded into the intersection, when Hawley’s oncoming 2005 Dodge hit his vehicle and flipped it upside-down, causing it to strike Lukens’ 2006 Saturn.
Patrol video taken by Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputy, James Marshall, who was on scene when the accident occurred, showed that Hawley ran the red light. She was cited for disregarding a traffic signal.
WARSAW — The Warsaw Police Department is responding to a reported accident at the intersection of Detroit St. and Main St.
Police are reporting no one has been injured in the accident.
Warsaw Fire Department, Warsaw Police Department and Lutheran EMS Kosciusko responded
