Could You Identify Mental Illness In A Crisis?

WARSAW — Trine University in Warsaw will be hosting a lunch Thursday, Sept. 24 as part of its Lunch and Learn series. This month, the presentation will be on identifying mental illness during a time of crisis. Lunch will be from 11:30 a.m. to noon with the presentation from noon to 1 p.m.
Learners will be able to network over lunch, and participate in a Schizophrenia presentation that will allow members to put themselves in the shoes of a person with schizophrenia.
The goal of the presentation is to help people identify the risk factors involved when confronted with mental illness in a crisis situation. They will also learn about the stigma of mental illness and how to avoid labeling and promote education.
