Lace Up For Public Skating In The Pop Weaver Youth Pavilion
INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana State Fairgrounds opens the Pop Weaver Youth Pavilion for the 2015-2016 Ice Skating Season from 7:30-9:30 p.m. starting Friday, Oct. 9. Voted 2014 Best of Indy best place to ice skate in Indianapolis, the Pop Weaver Youth Pavilion has plenty to offer families this season as schools enter Fall Break and temperatures cool down.
The Indiana State Fairgrounds entertains nearly 23,000 annual attendees that enjoy public skating during the week and on weekends. The Pop Weaver Youth Pavilion is also home to the Coliseum Youth and Adult Hockey League and Winter Club of Indianapolis skating lessons. Sign up information can be found on the website. The Pop Weaver Youth Pavilion offers concessions at most public skating sessions and has skating and hockey supplies available for purchase.
The “Pop Weaver Youth Pavilion” and the “Cheri Daniels Arena” complete the naming rights for the newly renovated Indiana Farmers Coliseum complex that began in the fall of 2012. Pop Weaver entered into a 10-year partnership built on a commitment to delivering a quality product and advancing agriculture.
Attendees are reminded they can also bring their next celebration to the Pop Weaver Youth Pavilion. Private parties and group skating events can be arranged upon request. Admission for public skating is $6 for ages 4 plus and free for those 3 years old and under. Skate rental for all ages is $4 for figure skates, $5 for hockey skates, and parking is $5 per car.
