Cassie Jo Goble

A woman, who has had a warrant issued for her arrest since May 2014, was arrested Tuesday on that warrant and two failure to appear warrants in other cases.

Cassie Jo Goble, 32, 6546 W. Grimme Lane, Claypool, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 1:39 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, on charges of dealing methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of school property, a class A felony; possession of two or more chemical reagents or precursors with intent to manufacture a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of school property a class C felony; failure to appear on charges of maintaining a common nuisance, class D felony and possession or sale of precursors, a class D felony; and failure to appear charges on driving while suspended, a misdemeanor.

Events began in January 2014. Goble was charged in Kosciusko Circuit Court on Jan. 23, 2014, for maintaining a common nuisance and possession or sale of precursor charges. It was on Jan. 22, 2014, a search warrant was served at the Grimme Lane address. Goble and Daniel Floyd were present. In the bedroom liquid fire, a shotgun and 22 caliber rifle were found. In a shed a black bag containing various items associated with manufacturing methamphetamine were found. In a burn barrel police found an HCL generator.

Goble admitted to police during 2013 and January 2014 she purchased pseudoephedrine for Floyd to manufacture meth, and that he made the drug in the bedroom and in the shed, approximately two times a week. She also admitted using the drug six or seven times during that week.

Goble was ordered to appear in court on March 23, 2015, but failed to appear and a warrant was issued.

She then was arrested for driving while suspended and ordered to appear in Kosciusko Superior Court 2 for an initial hearing on July 8, 2014. But failed to appear, resulting in a warrant being issued.

Her final charges stem from May 29, 2014, while out on bond on previous meth charges. This incident occurred in Burkett. Court documents state on May 29, the county 911 Communications Center received a complaint of chemical odors coming from an area in Burkett. Police went to the area of North Market Street, Burket, and observed Goble coming out of the residence at 115 N. Market Street.

Goble was approached by police, with the officer smelling a strong chemical odor associated with the manufacture of meth. When the officer approached the residence, he was met by Floyd, smelling the same chemical odor. Police new Goble and Floyd had a pending charges regarding meth in circuit court.

Goble would not allow police to speak to her about the chemical odor complaint, stating a search warrant would be needed. Both Floyd and Goble admitted to police they resided at the 115 N. Market St., Burkett address, but refused to allow officers to search their residence.

Police noticed that Burkett School was in session with children present, approximately 100 feet northeast and directly across the street from their residence.

After a search warrant was obtained, police found two plastic bottles with a blue granular substance and black flakes. One bottle had a cloudy liquid, the other did not. Both bottles tested positive for ammonia. The bottle with the liquid was an active lab. Four more plastic bottles, identified as HCL generators, were located, along with chemical reagents or precursors.

She is being held on $20,000 surety and $750 cash bond.
