Santa pulls up the rear of last year’s Light Up The Night parade.

WARSAW — Holiday events, for 2015 with the Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department, are kicking off with the annual Letters from Santa.

Forms are available now in the Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department office, 117 E. Canal St.,or on its website. Forms must be received in the office by Dec. 14. There is a cost of $2 per letter.

Celebrate the first lighting of the Central Park Holiday Light Display from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, for the “Light Up The Night” event. Walk through the festive lights and enjoy holiday performances in the park. Santa and Mrs. Claus will ride int he First Friday Twinkle Parade at 7 p.m., which starts downtown and will arrive at the park by 7:30 p.m. to visit with children. Children will also receive holiday glow necklaces, while supplies last.

Christmas Countdown will be from 6-8 p.m. Dec. 11. Celebrate with crafts, hot cocoa, cookies, music and more. Santa will make a special appearance so make sure to bring a camera to snap a picture of the kids. After participating in the countdown, visit the festive Central Park Holiday Light Display.
