Incidents
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following incidents:
- Sept. 14, 10:25 a.m. Susan Beaverson, Warsaw, reported a dog bite.
- Sept. 15, 9:43 a.m. Amber Schopf, Warsaw, reported a bicycle stolen from her residence at Old Colony Road in Warsaw.
Accidents
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
- Friday, Sept. 14, 11:01 a.m. CR 250 North. Drivers: Michael Pelphrey, 42, 1018 E. Lantern Rd., Warsaw; and Jesse Messier, 32, 11898 Robin Hood Rd., Cromwell. Pelphrey pulled out of the bank parking lot through an opening left in the backed up traffic flow and collided into the left rear end of Messier’s vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000
- Saturday, Sept. 15, 2:32 a.m. 1535 W. Center St. Drivers: Carol Gohde, 53, 5705 E. Lincolnway, Columbia City; and Chad Michael, 39, 3218 E. 900 South, Claypool. Godhe backed into Michael, who was backing out of an adjacent parking space. Damages: up to $2,500
- Friday, Sept. 14, 6:10 p.m. E. Winona Avenue and Indiana Street. Drivers: Tessa Lozano, 20, 1161 N. Crete Dr., Warsaw; and Richard Martin, 38, 811 Smith St., Warsaw. Lozano rear ended Martin while moving through slow traffic. Damages: up to $2,500
- Friday, Sept. 14, 6:32 p.m. Center Street. Drivers: Garret Sommer, 20, 2848 S. 550 West., Warsaw; and Wendy Lowman, 28, 2014 Oakwood Dr., Warsaw. Sommer rear ended Lowman. Damages: up to $5,000
- Friday, Sept. 14, 10:11 p.m. 2519 E. Center St. Driver: Pam Stahly, 46, 743 E. Center St., Warsaw. Stahly hit the rear bumper of a parked vehicle in the Bennigan’s parking lot. Damages: up to $10,000
- Sunday, Sept. 16, 4:31 p.m. Lake City Highway and North Parker Street. Drivers: Jaime Reboll-Martinez, 18, 217 Hudson St., Lapaz; and Melissa Rumfelt, 29, 523 N. Broadway St., Mishawaka. Rumfelt stopped, due to an ambulance on an emergency run, however, Reboll-Martinez was unable to stop before rear ending Rumfelt’s vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000
