Salvation Army Hosts “Hundred Ham Challenge”
KOSCIUSKO — The Salvation Army Choice Pantry is holding the second annual “Hundred Ham Challenge” to collect at least 100 canned hams for the Christmas season to give to families in need in addition to the food given in the pantry.
“Many families without children and seniors come into our choice pantry during the holidays to receive assistance. Canned hams in the 12-16 oz. size are great for smaller households. We would like to get the hams by Dec. 17,” according to Bryte Cleveland, pantry coordinator.
Last year the pantry collected 120 hams and hope to do the same this year. The choice pantry is open from 8-11:30 a.m. for those in need throughout the year.
