Wagon Wheel Accepting Donations For Inspire Campaign
WARSAW — The Wagon Wheel Theatre is accepting donations as part of its 2015 “Inspire” campaign and hopes to fund projects including Wagon Wheel Junior, the Symphony of Lakes, holiday productions and expenses.
“We are currently in the middle of our year-end fund drive,” said Development Director Julie Park. “There a number of ways people can donate, whether by calling the box office, by mail or an online donation.”
The Wagon Wheel recently became a non-profit 501(C)(3) establishment and many people don’t realize their contributions are tax-deductible. “People are beginning to realize it is charitable to donate to us,” Park noted.
Donations made now will go toward the holiday production for Warsaw Community Schools sixth-graders. Because of donations made by the community, students will be able to see the production for free. “Contributions make it possible for us to continue doing what we do,” said Park. “We hope to continue expanding, but it will depend heavily on contributions.”
According to Park, running the Symphony of Lakes can be quite costly, as it is expensive to hire such incredible talent. “The cost comes because of the quality we are trying to bring in, and we need donations to have great music.”
Most importantly, the Wagon Wheel is focused on providing easy access to the arts for children in Kosciusko County. Parks said, “We want to make youth access to the arts easy and, thankfully, we have been reward by support from the community. We’ve been able to open up programming in way not possible before. We have been donor-centric, serving the community, and being good stewards of our money.”
You can help the Wagon Wheel by donating via the box office at (574) 267-8041, or online at wagonwheelcenter.org/donate. You can also send a check to 2515 E. Center St., Warsaw.
