Brenda Gerber Vincent Named To Indiana Bicentennial Commission

INDIANAPOLIS — Gov. Mike Pence appointed Fort Wayne native Brenda Gerber Vincent to the Indiana Bicentennial Commission.
“Brenda Gerber Vincent has a true servant’s heart and a passion for Indiana,” said Pence. “As our state prepares to celebrate Hoosier heritage over the next year, I am proud to know that Brenda will be assisting us in commemorating this historic event.”
Gerber Vincent currently serves as vice president of development for Crosswinds and Lifeline Youth & Family Services in Fort Wayne. Both are non-profit organizations serving at-risk youth and their families, inside and outside of the justice system. She previously served as chief of staff to First Lady Karen Pence and is a co-founder of The Carriage House, a Fort Wayne psycho-social rehabilitation facility, which assists mentally ill persons learn social and employment skills.
“I’m humbled by the opportunity to help celebrate Indiana and all that we have accomplished over the past two centuries,” said Gerber Vincent.
She received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, where she continues to serve on the Indiana University Board of Associates for the Student Foundation.
Gerber Vincent’s appointment is effective immediately.
