Dog Found In LaPorte County With Mouth Taped Shut
LAPORTE COUNTY — Veterinarians are working to save a dog found over the Christmas holidays in Michigan City with its mouth duct taped shut.
That’s according to the animal rescue group “Guardians of the green mile.” A spokeswoman for the agency says a man found the 3- to 4-month-old pit bull wandering and took it to an emergency vet clinic in Westville. She says she believes the dog, who is being called “Chance” or “Christmas,” was used as a so-called “bait dog” for dog fighting.
