Tornado Sirens Test Continued Throughout Day
WARSAW — A glitch in the tornado sirens electronics has resulted in the sirens to be tested throughout the day, until the issue is resolved.
Warsaw-Wayne Township Fire Chief Michael Wilson reported the 10 a.m. test today, Tuesday, Dec. 29, discovered a glitch and the service agency is en route to resolve the issue. Activation of the sirens will continue throughout the day until all three sirens are properly working.
The sirens are located at Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory Station 1, 109 E. Main St., and Station 2, 2204 E. Center St., and on the west end of the city.
Kosciusko County Central Dispatch will initiate the activation of the tornado sirens.
The public is being asked to understand this is required to make sure all of the emergency warning system is correct and working properly prior to the severe weather.
