TVMS Cagers Compete In Tournaments
AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley Middle School girls and boys basketball teams were in action at tournaments on Jan. 16.
The Valley girls 8th grade A team lost to host Indian Springs by a 42-16 final. Emma Craig and Karina Young each scored five points to lead Valley. Makenzie Woodcox had three points, Jillian Walls two and Bethany Johnson one.
The 8th graders defeated Manchester 40-20. Walls led the winners with 13 points. Craig scored eight points and Young and Woodcox each had six points.
The 7th grade girls A team lost to Manchester 45-15. Sydney Wagner led the team with 11 points.
The 7th grade A team also lost to Indian Springs 41-10. Hannah Parson led Valley with four points.
The 8th grade A team defeated Rochester 32-29. Woodcox scored 10 points and Craig nine for the winners. Walls netted five points and Young and Jadyn Kolesiak four each.
The 7th grade A team beat Rochester 22-17. Wagner scored seven points and Hayley Backus and Taylor Olivarez each had four points.
The Valley boys 8th grade A team lost to host Urey 50-44. Tanner Trippiedi led the way with 17 points. Braxton Tolson had 15 points for Valley. Tucker Shull scored six, Jaydin Conley four and Jalen Potter two.
The 8th grade A team lost to Boston 31-18. Trippiedi led Valley with 10 points. Conley, Jace Potter, Jalen Potter and Justin Perdieu each had two points.
The 8th grade boys A team posted a 41-27 win over Milford on Tuesday. Trippiedi led the winners with 16 points. Conley scored seven points and Tolson and Cade Brouyette each had six, while Jace Potter, Shull and Zach Landis each had two.
The 7th grade boys A team lost to Milford 42-31. Quentin Aldridge led Valley with 10 points. Alex Craft and Chase Miller each had eight points, while Matt Howes added three and Payton Mills two.
