Kip Tom On Ballot For Indiana Congressional District
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — Republican businessman and family farmer Kip Tom has officially filed to appear on the ballot for United States Representative in Indiana’s third Congressional district.
Tom submitted his paperwork with Secretary of State Connie Lawson earlier today and made the following statement:
“Since announcing my candidacy, I have been humbled by the positive reaction I’ve received from Republicans in the third district. They are tired of continuing to send career politicians to Washington and are hungry for a conservative outsider with real business experience.”
About Kip Tom
A lifelong resident of Kosciusko County, Kip grew up on his family’s farm in the community his ancestors homesteaded in 1837. As one of Indiana’s larger grain commodity production businesses, Tom Farms has become a leader in agriculture and seed corn production, operating across seven counties in Indiana.
Kip led the growth of Tom Farms and created jobs in northeast Indiana with hard work and by employing sound business principles and new technologies.
Since 2005, Kip has worked to bring good-paying jobs to Indiana as a member of the Board of Directors of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.
Appointed by Gov. Mitch Daniels and serving under both Daniels and Gov. Mike Pence, Kip has been an important leader in Indiana’s economic growth efforts that have broken records for job creation and attraction nearly every year.
