Vickie Lynn Harvey
Vickie Lynn Harvey, 58, of rural Claypool, died at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, at her home. She was born April 11, 1957, in Fort Myers, Fla. to Billy Ray Bragg and Imogene (Wade) Arone.
Vickie attended Sarasota County Technical Institute in Sarasota, Fla. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse 20 years and worked as a LPN for South Bend Memorial Hospital Home Healthcare the past 10 years. She married Kit W. Harvey in Claypool, on Sept. 19, 2009. She was a member of the Humane Society of America, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), and a member of A.B.A.T.E. She enjoyed crafts, and rescuing animals. She lived in the Claypool area since 2002, but most of her life in Venice, Fla.
She is survived by her husband: Kit W. Harvey; mother: Imogene Arone, both of Claypool; five children: Rebecca Atwell, Claypool; William ‘Bill’ Kelley, Jamestown, N.Y.; Derrick (Celeste) Herbert, Simpsonville, S.C.; Olivia ‘Libby’ Hebert, Madison; and Keandra Williams, Claypool; sister: Christine Roe, Lima; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her father: Billy Ray Bragg; and her sister: Gwendolyn Amstutz.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at the funeral home.
