UPDATE: Accident On U.S. 30
UPDATE: Drivers involved in a two-vehicle accident at 5:43 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment. The accident occurred on Lake City Highway and East Old Road 30, Warsaw.
Warsaw Police report Bob D. Montel, 79, North Union Street, Warsaw, was westbound in his 2014 Chevrolet, and stopped for the traffic light. He stated he saw a westbound vehicle on Lake City Highway, but it was back at a distance. Montel then proceeded to pull out into the roadway, into the left lane of travel, when his vehicle was rear ended by a truck. The truck was driven by Diana L. Fear, 45, Fir Road, Bremen.
Fear told police she was traveling westbound in a 1994 Ford F150, in the left lane and saw Montel begin to pull out. She stated when he pulled out, she was unable to stop in time, hitting the back of Montel’s vehicle.
Fear complained of pain to the lower leg and elbow. Montel had struck his head on the steering wheel. Both refused treatment.
Damage was estimated up to $10,000.
WARSAW — Crews are responding to a two-vehicle accident at U.S. 30 and old 30.
There was no word on injuries or whether anyone was transported to the hospital.
