Bethel’s Wodrich Announces Resignation
MISHAWAKA – Bethel’s Athletic Director, Tom Visker, announced on Tuesday that women’s basketball head coach Andrew Wodrich has resigned his position effective immediately. Coach Wodrich led the program the past two seasons.
“Coach Woody brought a great deal of passion and energy to our women’s basketball program,” said Visker. “I am grateful for his service to the team, the athletic department, and Bethel College. I am confident that his Christian faith and character will allow him to succeed wherever God directs him next.”
This past season, Wodrich helped lead the Lady Pilots to a sixth-place finish in the Crossroads League, which was its best finish in the past three seasons. Under his direction, BC had three student-athletes collect Crossroads League postseason honors and four be named to the NCCAA North Central All-Region Team. During his two-year tenure, the Lady Pilots also set five new team and individual single season and single game records.
Wodrich, a Mishawaka High School graduate, was 22-40 overall and 11-25 in Crossroads League play.
Details in the search for the next women’s basketball coach will be made available soon.
