Robert L. ‘Bob’ Robinson
Robert L. “Bob” Robinson, 85, Warsaw, passed away at 7:32 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Millers Merry Manor, Warsaw. He was born on Oct. 9, 1930, to Jesse and Meribel (Boyce) Robinson in Warsaw.
He was united in marriage to Marilyn M. Kline on Jan. 9, 1953, in Warsaw She preceded him on Aug. 23, 2004. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict from 1953-1955. He also served in the Indiana National Guard, Warsaw and received the rank of Captain, retiring in 1969.
He worked for Dalton Foundry for 45 years holding various management positions with the last one being Human Resources Manager. After retirement he and his wife Marilyn founded Bomar Security Company, serving local business. He was the Vice President and Board Member of the Kosciusko County Historical Society. He was an avid historian. He also conducted tours of the Old Kosciusko County Jail and the Pound Store (Oswego).
He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post # 49 and a member of Warsaw Wesleyan Church.
He is survived by his son: Michael (Debbie) Robinson, Overland Park, Ks.; son-in-law: Dennis Pugh; brothers: Don (Donna) Robinson; Allen Robinson, both of Warsaw; grandchildren: Sean Robinson, Wichita, Ks.; Kelli (Justin) Stouder, Overland Park, Ks.; Tashena (companion Joseph Hendricks) Williams, Albany, Ga.; Jessica (John) Mullins; Nikko Fudge, Richlands, Va.; great-grandchildren: Isabella Gibson; Madison Robinson; Lauren Robinson; Hayden Stouder; Ellery Stouder; Travaron Jordan; Nasya Hendricks; Joseph Hendricks Jr.; Amiah Fudge. He is preceded by a daughter: Lelona Pugh; and his wife: Marilyn.
He is survived by his son, Michael (and spouse Debbie) Robinson of Overland Park, Kansas; a son-in-law Dennis Pugh; brothers Don (and spouse Donna) Robinson and Allen Robinson both of Warsaw; Grandchildren, Sean Robinson of Wichita, Kansas, Kelli (and spouse Justin) Stouder of Overland Park, Kansas, Tashena Williams (and companion Joseph Hendricks) of Albany Georgia, Jessica (and spouse John) Mullins and Nikko Fudge of Richlands, Virginia; Great-grandchildren, Isabella Gibson, Madison and Lauren Robinson, Hayden and Ellery Stouder, Travaron Jordan, Nasya and Joseph, Jr Hendricks, Amiah Fudge. He is preceded by a daughter, Lelona Pugh and his wife Marilyn.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 12, at Warsaw Wesleyan Church. A funeral service will begin at noon with Pastors L. Andrew Weaver and Jarod Osborne officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family is requesting that the memorial contributions be made to Kosciusko County Cancer Fund, Warsaw, and/ or Kosciusko County Historical Museum, Warsaw.
