Ivy Tech Names Assistant Vice President
Ivy Tech Community College has selected Cory C. Clasemann as the college’s Assistant Vice President of Institutional Research. Clasemann started his position on Monday, according to Inside INdiana Business.
Clasemann will lead the college’s institutional research division which facilitates evidence-based decision making through collaborative work and proactively analyzing and interpreting data, information and processes for internal and external key stakeholders. He replaces Karen Stanley who retired earlier this year.
Most recently, Clasemann served as Director of Institutional Effectiveness for the University of Indianapolis where he was responsible for overseeing the collection, organization, analysis and reporting of institutional data to support accountability, accreditation, planning, continuous improvement and institutional effectiveness. He also led efforts to assure compliance with federal and regional accrediting body requirements, including co-chairing a committee to implement regulations required under the Higher Education Opportunity Act.
Prior to his role as Director of Institutional Effectiveness, Clasemann was Director of Institutional Research and Grants also at the University of Indianapolis where he managed data collection and analysis, as well as provided progress reports on key measures of the university’s strategic plan. He also served as Director of Institutional Research and Project Manager for the Institutional Review Board and Academic Quality Improvement Program also at University of Indianapolis.
Clasemann has nearly 10 years of research experience within higher education. He serves as a peer reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Clasemann also served as an Associate Instructor, teaching courses at Indiana University in Bloomington.
He began his career in higher education as a curriculum coordinator at Creighton University where he coordinated all aspects of the Allergy/Immunology Fellowship Program, including overseeing program accreditation visits and monitoring budgets.
Clasemann will be awarded his Ph.D. in Higher Education from Indiana University this fall. He also earned a Master’s degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Creighton University.
