Wilson, Reed Big Winners in K County
With a 25.06 percent voter turn-out, Richard Mourdock ousted Sen. Dick Lugar with a county-wide vote of 8,086 vs. 2,858.
In the U.S. District 2 Congressional race incumbent Jackie Walorski earned 2,619 of county votes to Greg Andrews’ 1,045.
Rebecca Kubacki was the clear favorite for the House of Representatives District 22 taking home 4,275 votes to Jon Hare’s 2,409.
In local races, it was Michael Reed taking the judge’s seat for Kosciusko Circuit Court. He beat challenger Stephen Harris by more than 4,300 votes.Michael Wilson handily won the seat of Kosciusko County Coroner with 5,058 votes. Tony Ciriello took in 4,031 votes and Carl Saint claimed 856 votes.
In the race for Kosciusko County Council, new at-large members are Larry Teghtemeyer, Bob Sanders and Jon Fussle.
In the Democratic race:
Congressional District 2: Dan Morrison over Brendan Mullen 157 to 103
U.S. Representative District 3 – Kevin Boyd, 121; Tommy Schrader, 58; Stephen Hope, 57; David Sowards, 46; John Roberson, 46; and Justin Kuhnle, 45.
Absentee votes
Absentee ballots in Kosciusko County were the first to be counted and reported. Precincts reported absentee votes were down 10 percent from 2008.

In the Democrat races, absentee voters selected Brendan Mullen over Dan Morrison, 15-12, in the Congressional race for District 2; and Kevin Boyd over John Roberson 28-10 in the U.S. House 3rd District race.
