TVSC To Collect Shoes For Haiti
AKRON — Every day in Haiti children are prevented from attending school, adults are unable to work and walking becomes unbearable. A new pair of shoes provides relief so that people can work and play and live in more successful ways. Providing shoes for families in Haiti is an important first step to giving them health and life.
Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation will participate in a Shoes for Haiti collection drive April 11 through May 23. New or gently-used shoes may be dropped off at any Tippecanoe Valley school during school hours. The following types of shoes are needed for men, women and children, all ages, all sizes:
- Flip flops
- Athletic shoes
- Canvas shoes
- Dress shoes
- Sandals
- Work shoes
