Janet Jackson Postpones World Tour To Plan Family
INDIANAPOLIS — Musician Janet Jackson is postponing the second leg of her Unbreakable world tour indefinitely.
The 49-year-old posted on Twitter that she and her husband are planning their family.
Jackson told fans, “My husband and I are planning our family so I’m gonna have to delay the tour. Please, if you could try and understand that I do this now. I have to rest up. Doctor’s orders. I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can.
Jackson married 41-year-old Wissam al Mana, a Qatari business magnate, in 2012.
It’s unclear whether Jackson is already expecting a baby, trying to start a family or in the process of adopting a child.
The April 5 announcement will affect Jackson’s rescheduled concert date at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. She cancelled a January concert due to a health scare and rescheduled for July 22.
