Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

11:21 a.m. Sunday, April 17, South CR 700W and West CR 700S, Burket. Drivers: Sadie V. Rude, 18, West CR 200N, Kewanna, and Jeffery R. Kellam, 60, West CR 50N, Wabash. Rude ran a stop sign and her vehicle collided with Kellam’s. Kellam was transported for complaints of neck pain. Rude was issued a citation. Damage up to $10,000.

11:21 a.m. Saturday, April 16, East Hatchery Road east of North Bayshore Drive, Syracuse. Driver: Juan Sanchez-Ortiz, 32, Grand Street, Ligonier. Sanchez-Ortiz’s vehicle left the road and collided with a utility pole and two mailboxes. Damage up to $25,000.

7:30 a.m. Saturday, April 16, West CR 1250N and North Creek Bend Lane, Milford. Drivers: Emory D. Duggar, 39, Kuder Lane, Warsaw, and Sanjuana Sanchez, 39, West CR 1050N, Milford. Duggar turned his vehicle into the path of Sanchez’s oncoming vehicle and they collided. Both drivers were issued citations. Damage up to $5,000.

11:48 a.m. Friday, April 15, East US 30 east of Old Road 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Angeline M. Cary, 46, East CR 700N, La Porte, and Daniel W. Kitch, 23, East CR 250S, Akron. Cary attempted to change lanes and her vehicle collided with Kitch’s. Damage up to $2,500.

10:45 p.m. Thursday, April 14, North SR 15 south of West CR 1350N. Driver: Michael T. Hummel, 29, South Elm Street, Nappanee. Hummel’s vehicle collided with a deer. Damage up to $10,000.

7:42 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, South CR 275E north of East Wilcox Road, Warsaw. Driver: William J. Edwards, 52, Fellowship Drive, North Manchester. A passenger in Edwards’s vehicle, Jamie L. Hall, 30, Garden Street, Fort Wayne, grabbed the steering wheel, causing the vehicle to swerve and hit a utility pole. A nearby witness confirmed this account. Edwards complained of back pain and Hall complained of head pain. Damage up to $10,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

12:14 p.m. Monday, April 18, Lake City Highway east of East old Road 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Camera L. Hyde, 27, South Graceland Avenue, Claypool, and Frank E. Graskewitz, 64, Parent Street, Warsaw. Hyde began changing lanes and her vehicle sideswiped Graskewitz’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

7:54 a.m. Monday, April 18, Lake City Highway east of East Old Road 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Charles T. Brown, 26, South SR 14, Akron, Bernice Phifer, 49, East CR 350S, Pierceton, and Laura L. Shepherd, 58, South CR 400E, Warsaw. At the stoplight, Brown’s vehicle rear-ended Phifer’s vehicle, pushing it forward into Shepherd’s vehicle. Phifer was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for complaints of leg pain. Brown and Shepherd declined medical treatment. Damage up to $50,000.
