Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
8:57 p.m. Monday, April 18, East Center Street and North Sherman Street, Warsaw. Driver: Nicole L. Davis, 32, Oakwood Drive, Warsaw. Davis’s vehicle collided with a pedestrian, Mika Shepherd, 37, West Walnut Street, Claypool. Shepherd was taken to the hospital with minor bleeding. Two witnesses, Phillip Collins and Misty Brown, confirmed that Davis’s vehicle hit Shepherd and that Shepherd had been staggering and yelling obscenities. Officers on the scene observed the smell of alcohol on Shepherd’s breath. Damage up to $2,500.
7:39 p.m. Monday, April 18, East Winona Avenue and South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Jill M. Jordan, 38, North SR 109, Columbia City, and JW Anderson, 50, South McClellan Street, Warsaw. While Jordan was making a lefthand turn, her vehicle hit Anderson’s vehicle in the intersection. Anderson was transported to Parkview Hospital, Warsaw, with injuries to his lower legs. Damage up to $5,000.
6:44 p.m. Monday, April 18, North Detroit Street and Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Keenan T. Zordan, 21, Crystal Circle, Crystal Lake, Ill., and Daniel Romero, 31, North Vicky Lane, Warsaw. Zordan’s vehicle and Romero’s vehicle collided in the intersection. Zordan was transported to the hospital with complaints of arm pain. Romero was transported to the hospital with complaints of pain over his entire body. A passenger in Romero’s vehicle, Ashley A. King, 31, Sharon Street, Warsaw, was also transported to the hospital with complaints of pain throughout her entire body. Damage up to $25,000.
12:02 p.m. Monday, April 18, 365 W. Market St., Warsaw. Drivers: Connie A. Gasaway, 52, North Second Street, Warsaw, and Petty J. Essick, 63, East Baker Street, Warsaw. Gasaway backed out of a parking space and her vehicle hit Essick’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
12:24 p.m. Saturday, April 16, Lake City Highway west of North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Driver: Deven L. Barnhill, 45, West Daisey Place, Coal City, Ill. Barnhill’s vehicle collided with a deer.Damage up to $10,000.
