Triton Bombs Away On LaVille
The artillery continues to fire over the fences for Triton softball, launching three more homers Monday in a 9-2 win over LaVille in Hoosier North Athletic Conference action.
Taytum Hargrave jacked her first-career homer, and Megan Berger and Nicole Sechrist both cranked balls out of the yard as the Trojans mashed 13 hits in the contest.
Hargrave was a menace at the top of the order, along with the homer added three other hits and scored three runs. Courtney Jennings doubled in a run in the first inning and drove in another run later on.
Jennings was solid in the circle, as well, striking out 13 Lancers. The sophomore didn’t allow an earned run on four hits and one walk in the complete game.
Hannah Filley had two of those hits and drove in a run.
Triton (4-3, 1-1 HNAC) will visit powerful North Miami Tuesday.

Mann got the win on the hill, walking just one and striking out eight.
