Goodwill Announces May Career Center Events
WARSAW — Goodwill Industries Warsaw Community Career Center has announced its career center events for May, as follows:
- Dress for success workshop, 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, designed to help attendees learn to look their best
- Jeopardy game, 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, including trivia about Kosciusko County industries
- Career planning workshop, 2-3 p.m. Thursday, May 5, offering information to plan a career strategy
- Family Feud game, 2-4 p.m. Friday, May 6, covering job industry knowledge and job search skills
The following are times and dates for upcoming Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint workshop classes:
- 3-4 p.m. Thursday, May 12
- 10:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 17
- 10:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 24
- 3-4 p.m. Thursday, May 26
- 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 31
All skill levels and ages are welcome, from beginners to those just needing to brush up. Each lesson builds on the previous class, so it is helpful to attend as many sessions as possible. Participants will also learn how to further your skills from home. It is not necessary to sign up in advance. This workshop series is free and open to the public.
Walk-in appointments are also available daily for resume building and writing. Those interested can stop by the career center any time. Staff will help with resume writing, the job search process and interview techniques.
