Vega Pleads guilty to Dealing Cocaine
WARSAW — Efrain Vega, 25, Warsaw was sentenced today, Monday, May 16, in Kosciusko County Circuit Court on a count of dealing cocaine, a level 3 felony. Vega was originally taken into custody without incident on Friday, Aug. 25, on Detroit Street in Warsaw.
Vega’s attorney, Scott Lennox spoke in front of the court on Vega’s behalf. “He has no prior history. There should be an opportunity for probation.”
Vega pled guilty to the charge of dealing cocaine and accepted a plea agreement with the court. Vega is to serve a sentence of six years at the Indiana Department of Corrections with the opportunity to spend the last two years of his sentence under formal probation with drug treatment. Vega also received jail time credit for four days.
