Warsaw Golf: Tigers Hand Warriors First Loss
WARSAW — The Warsaw golf team picked up a solid conference win Tuesday evening. The Tigers entered Tuesday’s match with Wawasee one match back in standings to the Warriors but quickly turned the tables by earning a 165-171 win.
Warsaw, now 4-1 in Northern Lakes Conference matches, was paced by Tim Rata’s 38. Michael jensen and Tommy Meier each signed for a 42 while the scores for the Orange and Black were rounded out by Sam Yeager (43) and Luke Delp (45).
Jeffrey Moore of Wawasee earned medalist honors with a 35. Kyle Weideman shot a 43 for the visitors. Cal Heinisch (44), Cameron Adams (49) and Dillon Drake (53) rounded out the scores for the Warriors.
Warsaw and Wawasee now sit alone in a second place tie in the NLC while Northridge is alone in first at 5-0. Wawasee travels to play Northridge, with Goshen, Thursday. Warsaw will play at Memorial with Plymouth on Wednesday.
