PIERCETON — Katie Riddle, Pierceton, has been chosen as a state finalist in the National American Miss Indiana Pageant.
The pageant will take place July 1-3 in Indianapolis. The winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship and air transportation to compete in the national pageant at Disneyland.
National American Miss pageants are held for girls ages 4 to 18, in five age groups. Pageant organizers say their emphasis is on inner beauty, poise and presentation, and an “all-American spirit of fun for family and friends.” Riddle will compete in the division for ages 13-15.
Riddle’s activities include baking and cake decorating, playing alto and baritone saxophone, running track and dancing. She also enjoys music and being outside on the farm with her horses and cats.
