Williams Faces Drug Charges
WARSAW — Margaret A. Williams, 35, 17550 Shively Road, Bremen, has been charged with a level 6 felony of possession of methamphetamine.
On March 22, Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, responded to a female who was flagging down a vehicle and not acting normally.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, when officers arrived and located Margaret Williams she told them she was feeling suicidal and had taken an unknown quantity of pills. Medics arrived to treat Williams and found a plastic bag that contained wet cotton under Williams’ shirt.
Williams admitted to Officer Michael Fowler, of the Kosciusko Sheriff’s Department, that the wet cotton was meth. Fowler field-tested the cotton, which was positive for meth, a schedule II controlled substance.
Fowler also found an active warrant for Williams for unlawful sale of a precursor and maintaining a common nuisance Kosciusko County Circuit Court.
Williams was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment.
Williams is being held on a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
