Engines Will Roar At The Kosciusko County Fair
WARSAW — For all who love speed, power, wheels and engines, the vehicle action at the 100th Kosciusko County Fair will begin at 7:30 Tuesday, July 12, with a monster truck bash presented by Monteith’s Best One Tire. The free event will feature Bigfoot, Ballistic and Nightmare.
The Roy Bradburry Classic will once again be held at the fair at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 13. The race will consist of the Micro 600 Sprints, Jr. Micro Sprints, winged and non-winged classes. The general category races are open to drivers aged 14 and over. The junior sprint race is for drivers aged 6 through 12. Admission for adults will cost $10. Children aged 12 and under will be able to attend for $6 while children aged 5 and under are free. Pit passes will be available for $15.
The KOI Dirt Drag Racing will be presented Thursday, July 14, with the show starting at 7:30 p.m. Admission for adults will cost $10 and kids from 6 to 12 years of age will be able to attend for $6. The fourth Annual Shaggy Memorial Demolition Derby will blast Friday, July 15 at 7:30 p.m. with admission priced at $10 for adults and $6 for kids aged 6 to 12. Winners will be awarded cash prizes. The “gut & go” category winner will receive $600 and the “stock” and “modified” category winners will both receive $1,000. The “gut & go” category is new this year and is specifically designed for the novices. 6 p.m to 10 p.m. Saturday, July 16, is when the truck and tractor pulls unleash with attendance prices as listed above.
Pit passes will be sold for all race events priced at $15 each.
Race officials and flagmen will be guiding and officiating all races. Racers will be using their own cars that must fit the race guidelines found on www.kcfair.com.
